A family of Grizzly's
The brown bear, often named the grizzly, is a one of the mammals in The Yellowstone National Park. They may eat 90 pounds everyday to stock up for their long hibernation. The female bear may have one or three cubs during hibernation. These little cubs are as small as a chipmunk when they are born. They find their way to nurse. A female bears milk is very rich in fat and calories, so the cub will grow very quickly. Mother bears are fiercely protective over there young, so many of the cubs survive. The cubs are ready to move on when they are about three years old.
The male bears are about 700 pounds while the female bear is around 350 pounds. When a grizzly stands on its hind legs its not threating, its curious of its surroundings.
