Old Faithful Inn
Old Faithful Inn
The Yellowstone Lodge (Old Faithful Inn) was built in the early days of 1903 by a young architect named Robert Reamer. It went through many stages while being built, such as the original stage called the Old House in 1903. As you can see in the picture it is made entirely out of logs from trees in the area. It currently has five floors, bedrooms, dining areas, and sitting areas. The facinating architecture of the building attracts locals , tourists, and people who don't even stay in the lodge. This is a destination for tourist who crave relaxation, fun and breath taking views. every room incudes beds of your choosing, bathrooms, and a window so you can enjoy seeing the geological features of the park and surounding areas. Mountains, lakes, lush forest, and tons of wildlife are all seeen from the sitting area in the lobby of the hotel. This hotel was built in wanting to keep the "natural look" by beeing built out of the trees. all the way through the 1900s Old Faithful Inn went through many phases befor becoming what it is now; five to be exact. one of them being, as mentioned earlier, the old house. it was the first nad most basic stage of construction with only the basic needs of guest: beds, bathroom, and a small dining area. Architect Robert Reamer once said "I built in in keeping the place where it stands. Nobody could improve upon that. To be at discord with the landscape would be almost a crime. To try to improve upon that would be an impertinence." If you ever come to Wyoming be sure to make it a priority to visit this historical buliding and take in the beauty of which it contains.
